Consists largely of research notes, texts, and final draft reports of irrigation and drainage projects undertaken by Dr. Israelsen as instructor at Utah State University and as a private consultant. Individual projects in drainage and irrigation in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Canada, India, Iran, Southeast Asia and Brazil. There is heavy emphasis on projects in Cache, Millard, and Salt Lake Counties in Utah, and the drainages in Moaps Valley, Nevada, the Upper Colorado River Basin, Malad Valley, Idaho, and the Utah Lake drainage basin. Manuscripts and research notes center on irrigation work in Utah 1920-1950's and drainage work 1940-1950's. Contains extensive data on Utah canal systems and river basins in the Intermountain West. Also contains drafts and notes for his book, still the classic work in the field, "Irrigation Practices and Principles" (New York: Wiley \&\and Sons, 1932.). Dr. Israelsen was deaf the last 40 years of his life and relied so heavily upon the written word that the papers are unusually complete for the areas covered.
